Lilly is 3!

Lilly had a Hello Kitty Birthday party again!
She's been insisting for months that she wanted Hello Kitty, we kept giving her other options, but her mind was made up.  She's also still insisting that she's 2, she really doesn't want to be 3 yet.  She gets really mad it you insist!

I think Ben took some pictures, or video of the party, but I can't find it.  This is what happens if you move 7 days before a party, crazy!

Happy 4th

We went to the parade with Grandma and Grandpa!
Our Bishop lives around the corner and hosted a breakfast for the whole neighborhood.  What a fun place to live!

Iron Men

We watched the Hawaii Iron man on TV the other day and Eli was inspired.  While it was still on, he was gathering his helmet, getting dressed and filling water bottles.  He and Ben rode over to our old apartment complex, swam in the pool there, and rode home.  We couldn't get him to do any running, this comes from my side of the family.  We love swimming, but running is torture!

It's a mess

The playroom floor is supposed to look like this.

I found the whole thing in the dryer yesterday.  I still can't find a few pieces, one was under the bathroom scale!  I guess they'll turn up eventually.

How come my living room always looks like we live in a frat house?

Yard

It's so nice to have a yard again!  Okay so it's mostly just weeds, but someday it'll be something pretty cool.  Oh yeah, we have big plans!

Sleepy Babe

Lilly is in that in between stage with napping.  If she takes a nap she's up until 11pm, but sometimes she's in a terrible mood, and ends up falling asleep in all kinds of places.  We even found her on the landing, half way down the stairs the other day.  I didn't get a picture, because she woke up when Eli trod on her going down the stairs.  Poor sleepy babe!

Lilly cut her own hair.
I was hoping that after Eli cut it, and we had big talks about how it's not okay to cut hair ourselves, she wouldn't do this, but alas what can you do?  We even hid all scissors, but she found a pair at the very back of my bathroom drawer, hidden underneath a bunch of stuff.  She gave herself some pretty good bangs, and we went in and had her hair fixed as much as possible.  I'm not a fan, but they'll grow.

Artists

Eli and Lilly had a fun day painting on cardboard boxes (we have plenty of those) outside the other day.  Bonus, no mess to clean up!

Lilly got some new playdoh for her birthday, here's one of her creations!

Eli is loving drawing.  Sometimes he draws pictures, like the two above, without tracing first.  He just scribbles stuff out, and the scribbles form the picture.  This is a new way of making a picture to me, but I think they turn out pretty cool.  Big surprise, most of his pictures are of farm equipment.  The red one is a combine harvester, and the green one in a John Deere mower.

Moving, Moving....

Here we are in the driveway in Oregon, getting ready to drive to Boise!

This is packing round 2, in our apartment in Boise.

I was so excited when the Uboxes were delivered, we finally have all our stuff in one place again.

We had to buy all new appliances, and a standard size fridge didn't fit, we even tried removing the base board.

Here's fridge number 2, it fits, but is considerably smaller.

 The range didn't fit either!

They don't come in any other size, so we had the gas company move the line, the electrician move the outlet, and another guy come cut the granite counter top.  It's squished, but it's in!  It seems to be a trend in this house, the washer and dryer almost didn't fit through the laundry room door either, let's just say I hope they don't break for a long time because they're never coming out!

The first meal on the new stove was steak tacos.  I love corn tortillas cooked right over the flame, yum, yum!

SOLD!

We wanted to buy a house that didn't need any work, I'm not sure what happened.  I'm just glad to be semi settled and if it's up to me, we're never doing this again.  We've been prepping, staging and packing, unpacking, house hunting and moving since January, this seriously took up 7 months of our life.  I'm looking forward to having a somewhat normal routine again.  Hopefully that'll happen soon!
