We're Home!
Lilly sleeps great and she sleeps anywhere. She does the best when there's lots of noise, I guess there are benefits of having a baby in the NICU, it was loud in there. She is having trouble keeping food down, so we've been back to the doctor for lots of weight checks. She was on antibiotics and I hope they were causing the nausea because she finished them today. She's slowly gaining weight, so they said she won't have to come back in unless anything changes. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 ounces today.
Eli loves her and is a great big brother. He hasn't been jealous at all and keeps talking about how we are a happy family now. I guess he knew someone was missing after all, and he's just as happy as Ben and I are to have her home. He helps with bottles, baths, and pacifier replacement. He always wants to hold her, and asks where she is first thing when he wakes up from his nap. He's already learned how to blame things on her "Lilly needs this cheese grater"!

Tomorrow
We're going to pick up Lilly tomorrow morning at 9am!
This is a day later than we had anticipated, but after waiting a month a day didn't seem too bad.
She's been doing great, the hospital has just been very cautious and wanted to make sure eating was going alright before sending her home.
Pictures are hard to take in the NICU because they keep it dark. We're excited to take and share some pictures soon.

Coming Home Soon
Lilly is up to 45 ml per feeding now, and only needs to get up to 50 to come home. Apparently early this morning she was very upset about the amount of food she was getting, and they jumped her from 25 to 40 in one feed! She's been doing great, they even let me try to nurse her last night. She latched on great, then she just sat there and looked around. She didn't ever suck, and after about 10 min she fell asleep. The nurse said it was good for her first time, and not to expect too much from her. She didn't reject it, and seemed to like it, so I hope we're off to a good start because I'm ready to be done with the pump.
They expect to take her IV out tomorrow and possibly send her home Tuesday. We can't wait for the big day, it feels like we're having a baby all over again!
Thanks again for every one's prayers, love, support and babysitting.
I'm sure Lilly has done so well because there are so many people praying for her.
